The estate hosting Eagles Nest Winery and Cottage is perched high on a hill overlooking the scenic west Ramona Valley AVA. Our luxurious vacation villa is modeled on the finest Italian agritourismos. Some guests have comment on the similarities of our weather, the views and atmosphere to Italy’s Tuscany wine region.
We are blessed with breathtaking views of the rural countryside and vineyards from all areas of the estate including the winery’s Crush Pad, the Cottage’s deck and patios, and our hilltop home. During the growing season, the lush green estate vineyards add a scenic beauty of their own. The very private vacation villa (cottage in our media) is situated mid-hill on its own part of the estate next to the vineyards and winery.
Nature’s delightful show begins early each morning with a rosy pink sunrise over the mountains to the east of Eagles Nest. Next is a delightful early morning view of the receding morning fog in the valley below, followed by a sunny scenic mid-day rural countryside view, the day closes with a warm orange sunset, and dark, star-filled nights. These bucolic scenes are not available to the urban dweller.
Even our Crush pad where we process our grapes and wine has a view worthy of our slogan “Premium wines inspired by breathtaking views.”
The Cottage’s expansive view deck and surrounding patios provide unsurpassed panoramic rural views that are complemented with early morning country sounds of mooing cattle, the snort of nearby horses, and the distant crowing of a rooster. In the mid-mornings and afternoons, the serene calls of raptors (birds of prey) most often our Red-tailed Hawks, punctuate the peaceful rural soundscape.
Enjoy with coffee or fine wine! These vistas are best appreciated on the deck in a thick terry robe with an early morning cup of fresh brewed coffee or tea, in the afternoon with a good book, or later in the afternoon or evening, with a crisp cool glass of your favorite white wine or blush, or a glass of your favorite fine red wine. Of course we recommend our estate selections of wines first and foremost! (available on-line, mail order, or in local establishments)
