Hey Dennis this sounds like a great practice, a good way to hold unto memories and bring them back to life upon the opening of a wine from that period of their life. In a word, fascinating!

Rene and kind of practice that practice to a smaller degree, where we keep a wine diary (labels with notes) of some our favorite wine finds to reminisce about the past. We also keep some of our bottles, corks and capsule tops as a reminder and we still are hesitant to open certain bottles which rekindle fond memories of our wine tasting adventures from the land of vino!

Cheers!
