Greetings, I am a food journalist who is writing on the topic of biodynamic wines for the Oxford Encyclopedia of Food and Drink in America. If there was one thing that you wanted me to share with the Oxford community on the topic of biodnamic wines, what would that be? I can be reached at the linked email address. Thank you for a wonderful article as well. If you are able to get a copy of Edible Jersey, I have a news piece on USDA Certified Organic Root Tea *80 proof* which is from Art in the Age from Philadelphia. Not too many USDA certified organic liquors on the market. Cheers! wb

Thanks for the compliment. It's great when wineries and grape growers can operate in a earth-friendly way that also makes sense from a business standpoint. SIP and others programs help alert wineries and grape growers on ways they can operate in a sensible manner.

Thanks for the nice article and mention about various "green" philosophies, practices, & certifications in the winegrape industry. We're very proud of the SIP program - our group began in 1994 with the sole mission of promoting sustainability - so the certification has been a natural outgrowth of our mission and vision.

And of course, if you're looking for a unique Earth Day activity, join us on April 17th for the Earth Day Food & Wine Festival. What's more earthy than sustainably produced foods & wines? http://www.earthdayfoodandwine.com
